Rental terms

Website privacy

We process your name, email, optional phone number and the company, event or enquiry details you submit, together with a reference, language, submission time and privacy notice version. A daily identifier derived from the IP address helps limit abuse; it is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Hosting services may also process IP addresses, browser details and technical logs. We use enquiries to reply and prepare requested arrangements. The basis is section 8(1)(2) of the Faroese Data Protection Act where necessary for a contract with you or steps you request beforehand. Other enquiries, business contacts and abuse prevention rely on our legitimate interests under section 8(1)(6). We do not sell this data, use it for unsolicited marketing, profile you or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Fields marked * are needed to handle the enquiry; other fields are optional. You may also email or call. Do not send personal identification numbers, card details, health information or other sensitive data. This website does not process payments. The separate rental and payment services need their own confirmed privacy information. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, object to processing and, where applicable, data portability. Rights are subject to legal conditions. Retention and your rights

Website database enquiries have a retention period of 90 days from receipt. Once expired, they are deleted on the next server-rendered page visit or valid form submission. The IP-derived identifier is cleared after two days by the same cleanup. This is not a daily scheduled task: if the site is unused, cleanup waits for the next such visit. Copies in email, accounting systems or provider backups are outside this deletion and need their own retention and deletion arrangements. The website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting and storage. Hosting providers may process data on our behalf, and authorised administration may access enquiries. Processor agreements, final recipients and subprocessors, processing countries and any safeguards for transfers outside the Faroe Islands are not yet confirmed. These arrangements must be settled before collecting real customer information in public operation. We use Resend to email enquiries to our Google mailbox. These services therefore process the information submitted in the form.

Cookies and maps

The website has no analytics or advertising tracking. Your map preference is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. The local Faroe Islands map works without an external map service. OpenStreetMap loads only with your permission and then receives your IP address and ordinary browser information. This optional processing relies on consent under section 8(1)(1). Withdraw permission through the privacy settings in the footer to stop future map requests; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Precise location is used only in your browser after your request and device permission, and is not sent to our database. You can revoke location permission in browser settings. Google Maps and other external links open services with their own privacy notices. Hosting may use necessary sign-in and security functions.
